The Grand Opening

So the Malmö Studenthus officially opened its doors today! Although the doors have been open EVERYwhere ALL the time...Very safe indeed.

(I will post some photos later on this week...Not of the open doors.)

Anyway, we had a real party here! They were serving some interesting food I couldn't really identify (actually it was quite good just very salty, at least for my taste) and a band was playing, lots of balloons and fancy people walking aroung in their suits drinking champagne. Media was here. And the whole place looked really cool. Very clean and tidy, a total show off I'd say!

I'd just like to know when it gets back to "normal", when the elevator stops working, laundry room will get into its usual condition being utterly dirty, Internet stops working (wait, that's already done!), people get stuck in the rubbish "house" etc. But at least for today it was nice to see place as it should've been when I moved here a month ago :) And how it should be ALL the time.

And yes, the elevator didn't work during the last weekend which normally wouldn't be a big thing but I got sick on Thursday and walking up the stairs to the 7th floor really takes its toll on you when can't really breath.

So what do we have here? There are the laundry rooms just next to my front door - blue and yellow one. I prefer the yellow one. Each room has 8 washing machines, 4 tumble-dryers and 4 drying cabinets. It's a very electronical system we've got here. You can't even get into the room unless you have a time booked and then you have to activate your time with your tag to open the door and start the washing machine.

Then we have "the common area" where are 2 smaller rooms with a big table and lots of chairs in each, a bigger area with several smaller tables with chairs, and a some kind of kitchen area with microwaves. The other common area has a big sofa with a large TV screen with some more chairs and sofas. There's also a brand new gym just by the building (ok, it's not that big but at least it looks good). I think there was supposed to be a tennis court as well but right now it's just a big empty area. Well, you can't have it all.

I just wish that people would take a bit better care of this building, and I mean the people who live here. Throwing your rubbish around and writing on the walls. Just because it's Rosengård it doesn't mean it should look like Rosengård ;)

Although I got to see my friends here and enjoy they atmosphere, my day was pretty miserable. I'm still coming down with a flu, or my throat is sore, my nose is runny and I've got a fever (just a bit over 37 but I can still feel it) so maybe I already got it. I also managed to pore a cup of tea on the table and push over a glass of water with my laptop so that it spilled all over the wall. .Then I cut my thumb and it hurts...And I still have the exam to finish! Oh my...
