Painful day

When I woke up today and got out of the bed to turn off the alarm, I was still practically sleeping. So I decided to sit back down on my bed to give myself few minutes come out of the busy dream I was having. But I believe instead of waking up I fell back asleep while trying to sit down and I missed the bed; the side of the bed scratched my leg and arm before I bent forward and banged my head to the radiator. But even the pain didn't wake me up so I just crawled back under the duvet and slept another hour.

The whole incident might have had something to do with fact that I only slept few hours last night. We had our history exam during the morning and I met up with some of my friends; we had a great chat and just laughed at random things like tired people do. Anyway, when I arrived back home, I just didn't want to go to sleep because it would have meant that my day off would have been over and studying would start again. Well, next time I know that sometimes sleeping is indeed healthier that banging your head to the radiator because of lack of sleep. At least I didn't get a big bruise on my forehead although it does hurt a lot at the moment. And same with my bruised and bloody arm and leg.

(These kind of incidents crack me up every time in Funniest Home Videos!)

I had planned to wake up early because I wanted pick up my MP3, the one that had died few weeks ago, before the Academic Writing lecture started at 10am. And I also needed to visit the book shop. What a lucky day, after getting up early and running to the bus, it turned out that here nothing opens before 10am. I might have said few nasty words out there but as the city centre was empty, no one probably heard me....

The lecture was really wonderful today and it really feels now now that writing is not rocket science or has anything to do with luck. And the whole process of writing makes so much more sence to me now. It is just too bad that we had to sit there for two hours smelling an awful smell that turned out to be some fumes of burning building near by. Just wonderful.

Luckily I got my iPod after school and after 10 hours it is still working. But I didn't get to the book shop as several police units had closed down the whole street. I'm not quite sure what was happening there but I could see one of those robots you see in movies looking for bombs moving slowly around the street. I didn't stick around to wait an action movie to take place as I really needed to find the particular books. So I took the bus number seven heading towards Entré-shopping centre where I remebered was another "Akademibokhandeln". First I missed the right stop and went way past the centre and then there weren't any of those books I had been looking for. So I was forced to buy four DVDs for 99kr and come back home.
