Last night I went over to my friends' place with a big bowl of bananas, apples, grapes, blood oranges and kiwis to make a nice fruit salad and watch ACADEMY AWARDS. After making the salad,I had a nice chat with my friends until they both said they'd be off to bed at 11pm and I can wake them up when the actual show starts at 2.30am! Well, I was kind of expecting that because they've told me before that they have a habit of falling asleep in front of the TV but I was hoping they would last a little bit longer ;)
Anyway, I watched the red carper show with the gorgeous dresses, beautiful people and very, very cheerful hosts for few hours while chatting online with my dear friend from Finland who was watching the show, too. We both came to the same conclusion that the stars looked gorgeous apart from the hairdos which looked like failed DIY 'dos. How can you have such a gorgeous dress and diamonds worth of millions but not get a proper hairdresser?
As the actual ceremony started at 2.30am, I woke up my friends for them to only last few minutes before they were back in deep sleep. Well, you can't say I didn't try! But I have to admit that they didn't miss much as the hosts this year - Anne Hathaway and oh-so-cute James Franco - were rather painful to watch. I was hoping to have a fun night with them but something went just didn't work out. Luckily, the rest of the show was good and although I hadn't seen most of the movies that were nominated, I managed to cheer for the winners and smile like an idiot sitting alone on the floor at 4am. It was yet another good Oscar night and I'll definitely watch it again next year. And congratulations, Colin and Natalie!
But after the entertaining night, the cold morning hit hard. I got home around 6am and after having quick breakfast, I got to bed at 7am and just to wake up 4 hours later. No wonder I'm tired. I had a lecture from 1-3pm and then I spent few hours watching Samantha Who while wondering how I have managed to let my apartment get so messy. And while looking around in my apartment, a thought hit me: I am living on my own and I have my own apartment. And it made me smile. And you know, it doesn't matter if I don't do the dishes every day and if the salad in the fridge has started growing again or if I can't see myself in the bathroom mirror anymore (thank godness, that has not happened yet!), I can still take care of myself and live on my own. And then I remembered I hadn't paid the next month's rent.
So here I am, sitting in the common room (I decided not to buy internet at home for this month so I would spend less time playing Cityville) paying my bills and playing Cityville.
And tomorrow I shall be less lazy. I have plenty of studying to do. In the school, too.
"and then I remembered that I hadn't paid the next month's rent" repesin :D
